Pedal Power Becomes People Power
Two courses, one goal – raising awareness and money for teen mental wellness
Hundreds of experienced bike riders – many from the Bay Area and Southern California – will compete in the third annual Heart of Gold, which starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at the Rood Center.
Whether you are competing, supporting a rider or just enjoy a good time, the post-race festival will feature food and vendor booths and help improve the lives of young people.
Teens are faced with so many challenges, from anxiety and depression to bullying and loneliness. There are great programs and services to support children and young adults in Nevada County,
The county also offers many recreation opportunities that have a significant positive impact on teen well-being and our community. The county is a bustling hub for recreation – from spectacular hiking and biking trails to stunning rivers and swim holes and adventurous camping and rock-climbing experiences. So, sign-up and become a vendor, celebrate the Heart of Gold and support young people in our community. The deadline to register for all vendors is October 1.
