Our annual Power of the Purse on March 18 was so special and such a success. Almost 300 people attended the annual fundraiser at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Grass Valley. A great time was had by all so stay tuned for the March 2027 date.
Nearly 80 supporters have committed to a monthly donation. From small to larger gifts, this collective effort adds up to ensure our programs can help empower young people in Nevada County.

Bright Futures for Youth’s much-anticipated Power of the Purse event brings hundreds of community members together to connect over lunch – and enter a raffle and bid for classic, chic, fashionable and trend-setting purses and other special items donated by businesses and individuals.
Giving back has never looked so good.
The dollars raised benefit Bright Futures for Youth and its three core programs – The Friendship Club, NEO and SAFE, a program for children and young adults experiencing housing instability.
Our programs offer after-school programs and life-skills lessons to ensuring access to health care and counseling. We also provide safety-net services for youth, such as clothes and healthy meals – and even housing.
