Bright Futures for Youth is looking for more volunteers for the new NEO Youth Center.
The NEO Youth Center – the first-of-its-kind in Nevada County – will provide after-school programs and life-skills classes for children and young adults. The 3,700-square-foot center will offer a long list of activities and events from art workshops and indoor and outdoor games to live music and open-mic nights in a fun, safe and supervised setting.
The NEO Youth Center will feature a café, a game area, music and art rooms, a small stage, backyard and a patio.
Come on, join the NEO Youth Center as a volunteer. You provide the commitment and energy; we will offer the support and training.
Together, we will make the NEO Youth Center a success – and have a far-reaching impact on the lives of young people in Nevada County.
Volunteer opportunities at the NEO Youth Center
- Art – Share your talent and passion for creating artwork. Led by NEO staff who provide instruction and all materials.
- Music – Share your musical talent and expertise. Provide music instruction to individuals and/or groups, or just enjoy a jam session.
- Recreation – Play board games, video games, pool or ping-pong. Participate in outdoor recreation activities led by NEO staff, engaging in fun and energetic play.
- Café – Assist in the service of healthy snacks, beverages and light meals in the NEO Youth Center Café.
